24 weeks

Wc 29th Jan - our 24th week Bubba :) Today I had the whooping cough vaccination and tomorrow I'll be seeing the GP for a check-up, fingers crossed all will be fine.

Also Daddy is back!! He's currently snoring away next to me lol. He's so tired from the 13hr straight flight and all the running around this am. As soon as I picked him up at the station, we went straight to the doctors and did some errands before we came home. So the snoring I don't mind - I'm just happy he's home safe and back with us now 💕

Oh yea - and he bought you back loads of goodies from Fili! Clothes, blankets, bibs, mittens etc. It was so nice of him, as I wasn't expecting anything as I thought he wouldn't have the time. But I think it helped him get his mind off his Lola and he said he missed you a lot also xx

Lil' bubba haul

I'm not trying to go too crazy with the baby shopping but I have decided to start stocking up as and when I see good buys. TKmaxx came up trumps with these muslin cloths - pack of 3 of £4.99. Love the patterns - esp. the animal print one 😍

Also in TKmaxx I came across a new (well new to me) baby brand - all their clothes are 100% organic cotton and I noticed the brand as I was filing through the rails. The material I felt was so so soft and after a quick Google I found out just how good the brand was and how good the price was!

I got this baby grow, bib and hat all for £12.99 - if you check on the website, the baby grow alone retails at 29.95 au dollars! Love a bargain :)) I'll defo be looking out for this brand each TKmaxx trip!

Project Nursery - the softest rug ever!!

Another gem that we found in the sale! :))

I wanted a nice rug for the nursery - something fluffy and somewhat of a statement piece and this rug is actually perfection!! The picture doesn't show the color well but its a beautiful duck egg colour (obvs) and it really is the softest rug ever!! Can't wait for Bubba to enjoy it soon x

Missing Daddy

Hey Bubba - I know you're here with me but I am missing Daddy :( He's away at the moment for your Great Lola's funeral. She sadly passed away last week, so he's gone home to the Philippines to say his goodbyes. We so wanted her to meet you, but she knows you're on the way now and we know she will always be watching over you like your Lola Peda is :) xx

Oh Happy Monday!

So it started as any other normal Monday - email email, meetings, lunch, email....then in the afternoon I was called into a meeting with my account team to discuss a new brief - well I thought that's what the meeting was about!

They were so sweet and organised a little celebration for myself and Hannah (another workmate with good news - she got engaged!) They laid out champagne and tea, with cakes and other sweet treats - plus they gave us gifts! Flowers, a lovely card and a massage voucher for me! I was so so touched and it really made my Monday :)

Braxton Hicks?

So today I think I felt my first Braxton Hicks! Hubby and I were doing a spot of window shopping for Bubba and were busy chatting to a really nice Salesman called 'Raaaaaaamon' (Ramone lol) about some push chairs when it happened.

While we were chatting, I felt my tummy tighten and go hard. I wasn't concerned at the time as it passed quite quickly but now I what they feel like and I know what to look out for if it happens again. Hopefully they don't occur too much - thinking about going into pre or early labour is quite scary actually!

Bubba's first clothes

After we got the all clear from the 2nd scan and also found out we are having a boy 💙 I couldn't help but buy a few things while the sales were still on. Mamas & Papas had so many cute outfits online, all 50% off! I only bought a baby grow, some leggings, this knitted cardi and these adorable little booties :))) Can't wait to squeeze his feet into them xx

Great freebie!

Loving this sample I got from the Emma's diary 'Mum to be' free gift pack. It's the Cocoa Butter ' Tummy Butter' for stretch marks. I've been applying the product before bed, gently massaging into my tummy. The butter is solid and desolves really easily through the warmth of my hands as I rub it in - its really soothing and has helped me bond with bubba even more I think :) I'll defo be getting the full sized version when its done.

The secret is out!!

So Bubba - news about your pending arrival is trickling out!! My department at work found out today about you. I sent an email and laid out some cute baby cupcakes for them, then everyone was quick gather around and congratualte me :) I was bit taken back by their reactions - it was so so loving and everyone seemed genuinely happy about the news.

Most of them were shocked at how far along I am as I kept you a secret for so long lol it was only because I wanted to make sure everything was ok with you health-wise and after you did so well at the 2nd scan appt it made me feel so good and excited, I just couldn't keep my lil bubba a secret anymore xxx

21 weeks + 4 days

Today (Fri 12th Jan) was a good day Bubba - we got to see you again :)) And you're doing so great - developing well and growing at a good rate.
It was so lovely to see you are getting bigger and you were showing us more movement - the synographer was laughing because you kept moving your hands and legs around so it was hard for her to measure you sometimes!
She was so nice to us, even though your Dad kept asking his questions!! lol - but after all the health checks was cleared, we of course were super excited to know if you are a boy or girl 👫 xxx

Project Nursery - Ooo new curtains

While browsing the sales we decided to get new curtains for the front room aka Bubba's nursery :) I've been hesitant to buy anything too early, but new curtains were needed for the front room anyway so I didn't feel too 'bad' about buying them.

True to theme, we went for duck egg plain curtains - they are called 'solar' curtains as they are especially made for blocking out daylight and they apparently reduce outside noise. We didn't want to go for any children patterned-style curtains, but also we didn't want anything too bland - my go-to colours are normally neutral tones like creams, beige, light grey etc. so I'm pleased we went for something abit different.

Kaira + Ayden

I met your BFF's over the weekend Bubba! Ate Kaira (6lbs 7oz) was born Dec 31st and Kuya Ayden (8lbs 2oz) was born on 5th Jan! Me and Daddy went to visit them both on Saturday and it was just the best! They are so tiny, sleepy and so so adorable and they can't wait to meet you now :)

Unicorn Onsies

My cousin bravely gave birth (and with ease btw) on New Years eve! No-one expected her to go into labour early so it was a delightful surprise for us all and such a lovely way for my cousin and her family to ring in 2018 :)
